Note to fans all over the world....never....and I mean NEVER...put money on the Detroit Lions OR pick them in your football pool. You have been warned.

Steelers looked great...against the lowly Texans.

I will say I am a bit happy that Brady is gone for the season.

Now if we can only make Favre go away for the season. Do you think we've seen enough coverage of THAT guy?

I must say that by far the best thing about football season is that NASCAR is no longer on Sundays! I can actually get lazy and watch some TV when I wake up on early Sunday afternoon. My Colts didn't do too great this week though. I really shouldn't call them "my" Colts, because I could care less whether they win or lose. I just like to watch.

Down here in Oz it's AFL finals time! Aitch's Geelong cats look certainties to take the premiership for the second year running! However, my wife Andrea's Hawthorn Hawks look to be the only real threat to the Cats.
Did any of my Australian friends watch last nights game between the Bulldogs and Swans?
Traditon at finals time sees both teams line up pre-match to stand for our national Anthem, which is "Advance Australia Fair"?
BUT.........
......................Someone in the production room hit the wrong audio button....resulting in us all standing to
..... ....AC/DC's "Long way to the top"!!
Well.....it's my national anthem!!!

Saw some of the game but not the beginning, Greg.

However, a "Long Way To The Top for National Anthem" movement sounds like a good idea!!

Today marks the Australian Football League's 150th Grand Final, and,as i predicted a few weeks ago, Aitch's Geelong Cats are up against Andrea's(my wife's), Hawthorn Hawks. This promises to be a classic with clearly the 2 best and toughest teams ready to fight it out! And i mean FIGHT.
Best of luck Aitch, but, if i want peace (and dinner) in my house tonite, i'm hoping for a Hawks victory.
Enjoy the game.

I fully understand, Greg, but don't go overboard, mate!! Be mildly supportive..... just for harmony in the home!!

You might have to make your own dinner anyway............ after the Hawks lose!!

Bought the steaks, burgers and snags this morning.......... the barbie's scrubbed after the winter recess and the coldies are in the 'ridgy didge'!

Hmmmm.............. 11:30 . Time to "test the waters"................ so to speak.
