When you upload the .jpg image to the forum, it will appear in your post as a clickable thumbnail. To upload the picture, look below the text box where you type your post. There's a tab called Upload attachment. If you want the full size picture in your post, upload the picture to a photo hosting site like Photobucket. Copy the embed code from there, then click the Img button above the text box and place your code inbetween the Img markers.

does it work for "gif" too, or just "jpg" ?

thank you both, i don't know nearly as much about this stuff as you two do, but i am learning.
