The day I start seeing in these pages a lot of name-calling and negativity will be the day I say goodbye. That's why I don't visit too many other forums, 'cause when I do I sometimes feel like I need a shower afterward.
I like it here, where the men are all handsome, gentle and intelligent, and the women even more so :D

I don't think that statement was intended for people with little or no knowledge of English. You're right, Joey. Proper English just means do your best with what you learned in grade school, and not what you learned on the street or the net. It's not to discourage communication from ESL members, just to provide a lingua franca which we all can understand.
Anyway, Sheena, your English is great! Better than a lot of native speakers I've met.
