Tom Scholz Rockman Bass Ace for 4001/4003?

Anybody ever try a Tom Scholz Rockman Bass Ace on their Rick basses? The Scholz Rockman is a personal amplifier that fits on your belt buckle, like a walkman, you listen to it on headphones, and it has EQ adjustments, etc. I'm curious as to how well these things work, I'm considering getting one if they're pretty decent. Thanks.

I have a basspod that doesn't work too bad with headphones either. They are a bit trickey to strap on your belt though (part from the fact that it would look pretty ridiculous)
The pod can sound nice with a little tweaking.
It aint high end tube gear but for the money
I think it is a handy tool. I don't know anything about this tom scholts thing just thought the pod might offer a alternative for your needs.
