Great vid, Chris, thanks .... wish the balance was a bit different.
Would like to have heard more you YOUR guitar than the record.

The new pickguards are an interesting color. What is RIC calling that?

Kent:

Well I did warn everyone that it was a silly video. Just an excuse to show the world my guitar.

yes you are correct, I did two versions - the other had more gain on my guitar, but it wasn't very well framed and I screwed up a little more. I thought is safer to hide behind the playing of Phil Palmer, De Burgh's session guitarist.

Perhaps I should have gone for a third take!! I like De Burgh's version (being a fan and all), but I realize there are some people who will be offended at the idea of re-doing such an iconic song...

BTW De Burgh has shared at some length over the years on spending a night in a London bar with Bob Dylan and Roger McQuinn... Dylan quite liked a few of CDEB's songs. He is forever, musically typecast as a romantic balladeer after the LADY IN RED phase in the mid 80's.

Love that one John! As much as I like Sea Green, I've always thought that checkerboard binding looks better on a Blue Boy.

Three very NICE guitars, in very non traditional colours... I especially like the BLUE BOY colour - that is some finish indeed!

Burgandy glow I think will be the colour of my next 600 series RIC.

If so, it would have to have been refinished in that color to be possible.

Burgandy Glow was a stock colour for at least 17 years in the 70's to the mid 80's. I am sure at least one 620 would have been done in that finish... Also wasn't it a colour of the year in 2003?

My job will be to find someone willing to part with one in BG.

The Burgundy 660/12 with white plastic parts was mine. I traded it to Chris at Pick of the Ricks a few years ago and I believe Dave Pascoe owned it for awhile too.

I still have that couch in my living room.
