Pignose amps
Hi all. My brother-in-law just picked up an old Pignose SS amp from the 70s. The amp says that it is a 7-30/60. He's wondering if the speaker is original. Anybody know what kind of speaker would've come in these amps?
Re: Pignose amps
Is it the little travel amp that opens up?
I remember those- funky little amps!

No, it looks like a little Orange amp almost - very boxy.

Here's a picture of one that looks just as original as the one I had.
The seventies' ones were among the first battery-powered portable amps and ran from batteries. The sound was a choice between fuzz and fuzzier, depending on how loud you set it. The re-issues pack a rechargeable battery and much improved sound.

That's a picture of a model 7-100. I have an original one from 1973.

Wow. I bought mine in '75 and it looked just like the picture; I thought it was the only Pignose design. How many models did they make originally?

I'll try to get a picture of my brother-in-law's too. It's not the same as the model shown.
