I just thought I'd put the headzup out there on my band's upcoming Madison WI mini-tour!
We're playing on Fri and Sat night with a local (to Madison) band called Dear August. Friday night we're playing at The Frequency http://madisonfrequency.com/home/show/t ... 03-20-2009, and Saturday night we're playing at the Crystal Corner http://www.thecrystalcornerbar.com/Calendar.htm. As you can see on the websites, we'll be one of three opening acts on Friday and one of two on Sat. Either night we'll only be playing a short (45 min?) set.
Our singer/songwriter's name is Josh Kaufman. Here's his website: http://www.myspace.com/joshuaekaufmanband All songs are originals, and all written by Josh. I'd call it Indie Rock, and I'd say much of it is not as up-beat as I'd like but it is what it is! It's fun for now and won't last much longer as Josh is going to be moving away from Chicago in the next few months. Unfortunately, Josh recorded all of his tunes on his own and none of us in the band appear on his recordings. The band is a 6-piece, and we might even borrow a Cello player for one song.
There should be at least two Rickenbacker instruments present!
