Britain's Got Talent: The plot thickens

Post by kiramdear »

Is Susan Boyle no longer this season's front runner? This week we discover that Wales has talent, too.

Man, talk about performing under pressure. Cool that they gave him a chance to wipe the slate and try another song, and he NAILED it.

Good voice, that kid.

Personally, I think Simon was in on it and it was all a setup.... the "second chance".

In any case, I think Susan is better. The kid is good but for me, no goose bumps. 8)

He's good. Give him a few years though to gain that little bit of magic that he needs to be fantastic. I agree with you Kira. I think that Susan's voice is very special.

Every time I hear her I get wave after wave of goose bumps  I have that with only a few artists. That's as good as it gets in my book, when even my skin agrees.

Couldn't agree more, Kira and Brian. The kid's got decades ahead of him and he'll probably get snapped up even if he doesn't win.

When I saw the clip last night I had 'Michael Jackson' spinning around in my head. Hope not, for the kid's sake!!

Setup. Simon, the kid and the band were in on it.

But he's got everything but real charisma, and as we've said, in time he'll be a force to reckon with.

Can he knock Susan out of her place in our hearts? Naaaaahhhhh.

Yup, I'd pretty much agree. Kid's good, give him a few more years and I'd buy the CD.

I agree.

If this were American Idol, and not BGT, I'd say the kid should win, based only on the fact that he's more likely to create a career out of his skills due to his age, looks etc. Sad, but it does work like that...
