Best way of determing a Ric value?

thought this topic might get more coverage here than the apprasail sub-forum.

i will be insuring my collecting w/ my new home - what is the most accurate source for determing value of vintage Ric basses?

If you can, get John Minutaglio & Steven Fant's "Collectible Rickenbacker Value & Reference Guide 2007" (the most recent). John intends to produce an updated one, but don't know when. It's a great homemade book with fine photos and price guides based on recent aftermarket sales. You can contact John at:
