SEARCHERS TODAY

Post by royclough »

This is The Searchers today and a rare vocal from John McNally, in the 60s John was like The Searchers Ringo in some ways, tended to be given one number per album.

I know some will say this is not The Searchers sound perhaps, but time moves on as some of these pictures will show.

This number goes down great at their live shows.

Definitely sounds much better than looks. :( Sorry.
It's great that the guys can still rock. Not the Searchers sound? D'oh. Methinks, in the name of the pleasure of hearing such a number, i can do without the "Searchers sound".
Oh, and by the way. I do not think that "Ringo approach" was a good idea. Frankly, i think this idea was awful. Yep, i know i've said it before but i still think John McNally had the most interesting voice of all the band members. He sounds like a man, you know. Glad his voice hadn't changed that much over the years.
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.
