Anyone? My band might play this as a cover. I've finally got a McGuinn-ish sound that I feel is "perfect" and I want to exploit it!
If anyone's curious, I'm using a '90 370/12 into a Boss Noise Supressor (using the effects loop), a JangleBox, and a MIJ Boss Limiter, all into a JC-120. With just the right settings (I wrote them down) it nails the sound and sits great in the mix in our practice room when the whole band is playing.
So some tab or sheet music to the solo would be great. I don't know if it's out there, but I hope so. I don't feel like writing all that out! Thanks, J

Thanks a million! That will save me about three full pencils. (Yes, I keep a cup filled with about 20 pencils and a hand-operated pencil sharpener on the coffee table.)

An authentic tab of Eight Miles High also comes with the DVD: "The 12 string guitar of Roger McGuinn"
Re: Eight Miles High solo sheet music/tab?
I have it, Rich. But rather than copy out the whole thing, which is a little unethical, not to mention hard work, I just wrote out the highlights, so to speak. The essence of the whole break can be pretty well replicated by noodling around on the fourth, fifth, and seventh frets of the G, D, A, and E strings of the guitar. Anything else is gravy, and can be invented or improvised on the spot without artistic compromise. It's really pretty simple.
