Casino Straplocks?

Post by johneek »

OK...so here's a question for all you Casino, 335 players. Do you use strap locks? I have Schallers on all my guitars, but recently picked up a Casino and I'm wondering if straplocks work well on guitars with the strap button on the heel.

I put strap locks on my Casino after almost losing it twice,...did not want it to hit the floor.

I was going to put Dunlops on my Dot until I realized I'd be constantly rubbing against the release button. Schallers for me.

+1 on the Schallers, I've had Dunlops fail on me before, not pretty.

The Schallers may fit right in your belly button. That is of course you don't have an "outtie". OF course you can't wear it up high like the guy in Freddie and the Dreamers or down low like Mike Ness (social distortion)

Seriously, I find myself having to keep tightening my Schallers, and Ive popped of Dunlops. I like these little plastic ones I've gotten from Stew Mac... though I've popped them too! Im not even doing that ZZ top stuff!!

Try a hair of loc-tite on the threads if they keep coming unscrewed, never tried it myself, but have seen it mentioned elsewhere. Every so often I give mine a quick crank and they seem to stay tight for months.
