Strats and Teles with painted headstock

Post by clearblue »

Special Edition colors: American Strats and Telecasters at Wildwood. Daphne Blue, Fiesta Red and Surf Green with matching headstocks.
Everything else about the guitar is pretty much the same but still, rare colors for an Amarican Standard.

Fender also did a run of Sea Foam Green and Shell Pink US strats with matching headstocks back in the early 90's. I'm not much of a Fender guy, but the new Sea Green Tele on the Wildwood site is very nice!

I used to have an American Standard strat like that. It was made in 1995.

I love matching headstock Fenders.

Not so much on strats/teles as on Jags/Jazzmasters/Mustangs, but they're all cool.

Funny, I like the look on Strats and Offsets but not so much on Teles.

PS--Mitch, that Shell Pink is gorgeous.

Damn, I wish my Surf Green `57 US VRI models had the painted headstock; that looks super cool! :D

I bought a new AS strat in the mid '90's with a painted headstock. It's kind of turquoisy. Still have it.

I decided not to get it after all. Getting a Mapleglo 350v63.
Had the strat been in shell pink, I'd have gotten the Strat + the Rickenbacker.
