I like the color of the 599 that Luca is standing in front of here.jingle_jangle wrote:There are over 20 shades of red that have been used on Ferraris since '47. Here's the scoop on the most recent Rosso Chiaro:

I just checked the specs on that particular 599 and it says the color is Rosso Monza.jingle_jangle wrote:The color of that Fiorano is called "Ruby Metallic", and it is.
I suppose we could quibble, Jeff, but the Ferrari color charts I have don't even show a "Rosso Monza", although there are four other shades of red. The only metallic, however (and the car in the photo is almost certainly a metallic shade, judging from the highlights), is Ruby, which is on my charts.jps wrote:I just checked the specs on that particular 599 and it says the color is Rosso Monza.jingle_jangle wrote:The color of that Fiorano is called "Ruby Metallic", and it is.

This is/was Luca's personal car so it could be a one-off color. Here are the details. Maybe I should have you refinish my 4005WB in that color.jingle_jangle wrote:I suppose we could quibble, Jeff, but the Ferrari color charts I have don't even show a "Rosso Monza", although there are four other shades of red. Perhaps it's a one-off color; not unheard of...
