Roger McGuinn impersonator?

Post by JakeK »

Dave, Roger McGuinn's biggest fan, who in the attached video took in a 370/12 RM, decided to do Byrds covers set to pre-recorded backing tracks. He does a damn good job at them on his YouTube site: http://www.youtube.com/user/Byrds1967

Cool!

Nothing like putting ol' Dave on the spot with several generations of his family/friends watching!

Dave's been watching Roger's video. His combinatioin of pick and fingerstyle makes it work.

Oh I'd agree. Dave really nails the whole McGuinn style down. I think he's one of the best.

Yes, he would be perfect. I tried searching for him in the members directory. But with so many guys named Dave, and no idea what user name he has, the search didn't go on very long, and I realized the futility of it pretty quickly. He has a bunch of vids up on Youtube.
As a matter of fact, this video helped me figure out the guitar riff to "She Don't Care About Time."

Here's another one.

And of course

I sent David an email alerting him to the admiration society developing here . Hope he visits.

I suppose it's possible he could have, Jake. But why would he do that when he's got the built in compressor in the RM Limited Edition?

Jim,

feed back, feed back....the flouro light ballast units and just about anything else generate noise with the RM circuit! Painfull when you take one outside your living room.
