Re: TLA LIST/Glossary PLEASE?
That would be a fine thing to do, Robert, if you have the time and means. I'm sure everyone would love it if you do.

All I wanna do is rock!
Re: TLA LIST/Glossary PLEASE?
I've made a lot of both, spread sheets and holes in the ground. Personally, I prefer the holes, especially if I get to make them with my backhoe...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Impressive sheet spread.
Re: TLA LIST/Glossary PLEASE?

Re: TLA LIST/Glossary PLEASE?
Yeah, Paul, you seem a bit bugged about something.
Re: TLA LIST/Glossary PLEASE?
You are all crazy. I feel like I belong.
SO, in an attempt to get this list organized, I'm showing you what I have so far, please reply to this message with any other commonly used abbreviations used at RRF and I'll add them all to the list and keep appending it as I receive more from you all- or encounter them in my RRF wanderings.

I'm sure all the finishes have acronyms- did I get the ones I just added above correct? Anymore? How about all the parts to our instruments, are there commonly used acronyms for the parts? I've read Pickups being called Pups before...anymore???

Re: TLA LIST/Glossary PLEASE?
Yeah, nice one PW! My cat walked across the keyboard right before I noticed the crawling bug as your avatar photo, and I thought it was a flea that had jumped off my cat, which really annoyed me, as presence of a live flea would mean her flea treatment wasn't working.kiramdear wrote:Eew! Jeezus. Will you get rid of that insect, PW?jingle_jangle wrote:I first encountered NOS in the vintage car biz, back around '71 or so. But I'd bet it goes back a lot longer. It was used by car dealers to classify their parts stock when culling their SKUs.
Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.
