RIP Metal Church

Post by phlemmy »

While they were never quite the same after Mike Howe exited the band, they still carried the torch for metal for many years. The last few albums with Ronnie Munroe never suited me but I always respected Vanderhoof's vision.

And it was a sad day when David Wayne died. I never got to see MC with him as the frontman. Mike Howe was a great replacement and I got to spend an afternon with him and the band about 20 or so years ago. Great memories.

Pitty. I saw them (and metallica and more) on Aardschokdag 1987 in Zwolle/Netherlands. We used to play the song "metal church" with a band I played with at the time.
