So, what's involved in say, rewiring a 3 pickup 350 into a 2 pickup 350?

I _really_ want a two pickup 350 and I'm handy with a soldering iron.

No soldering iron needed, just a pair of cutters! Cut the middle pickup's connections and you have a two pickup 350.

That's good news. Thanks John.

John, isn't the 350 you've got with HGs a 2 pick-up guitar?

With regard to the Mike Campbell 350, it would seem, based on comments made by Campbell, Smith and others that this guitar started out as a Model 615 in Fireglo and then was neatly customized (and full credit to the luthier) to resemble a Model 350 with a refinish to black. Just why I seem to be destined to research these instruments that are refinished to black I don't know.

Peter,
I'm pretty sure these are two seperate guitars unless alot of work has been done to it since he got it. If I'm not mistaking, the 615 has/had 3 pups and had some fairly obvious contouring to front edges of the body, sort of like a 4003S. Also, didn't have an Accent Vibrato (615)? I believe the one he uses in the SNL video that I have is a two pickup model with gold guards. I can't remember if it had a trapeze or an "R" tailpiece. If I remember correctly the body may not be an exact 350 shape, but it's close. Right now I have this as an AVI or an MPEG on my old hard drive, and can't watch it. If I can copy it off of there is there some way I can send it to you, it would be a 4-5 minute video?

Thanks Jeff. It would seem that I am confusing these two instruments based on an earlier black and white photo. By all means send the video along, it seems I need to go back to school on this one.
