Jules is taking his Dad's legacy in stride, and showing himself to have a great sense of humor about it.

Here he gives a nice reference to Dad's "How I Won the War" persona with a seriously good song in his own write.

Fantastic. He's a great artist "in his own write"......

Yeah, I gotta say I love Jules and I wish he would be a lot more active.
Having a famous parent can be a heavy burden, but he's paid his dues long ago in that respect. Now he's making use of what he may have seen as a handicap at one time, and it not only pleases us but it signals his ascension to his own place of confidence in his own unique artistic identity.
I'm overjoyed to see him come into his own light. It's way overdue.
May I add that his facebook page is a real delight lately? He's checking in personally on a regular basis to share his thoughts and his work with his fans.

That "I Don't want to Know" video is really entertaining....
curious, as I know nothing about who Julian has been making music with in recent years, are any of "The Butlers" actually members of his band or entrourage ? Or just some semi-look alikes ... or was Julian actually in the video himself ? The Abbey Road crosswalk bit was really good !
Julian seems to have found a way to deal with the famous parent situation and put it all into perspective.

I can't help hearing so much of A Hard Days' Night, and Abbey Road eras in these two videos. I'm certain it was done on purpose. And done well. I like both songs, but the arrangements sound so much like the Beatles, I even began to wonder if it was George playing guitar on Day After Day. But no, perhaps the song was recorded after George's passing.

Julian is they guy with the bottle of hooch in the "Royal Box" with the "Queen Mother." But it didn't appear that he was anyone in the band. Odd. One would assume he actually played and sang on this, but maybe he just used other guys for the viddy.8mileshigher wrote: or was Julian actually in the video himself ?
On an unrelated issue, for some reason this song strikes me as oddly similar to Cab, by Train.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?
Re: Too funny! Julian sends up the Fab Four!
Julian's not one of the Butlers, definitely not. I'm not sure what the background is on that production, as he hasn't really talked about his work on his facebook page.
