Concert for George redux;

Post by rick12dr »

Besides some probably obvious reasons[or not] why this didn't happen, does anyone besides me think that since Paul and Ringo were there, would it have been a stretch for "Think For Yourself" to have been played? I think a few people would have liked to have seen Paul with a bass on his shoulder that night.....comments?
and while the concert is being discussed, can someone clarify why McGuinn wasn't there? Was he not invited, could he not make it,or were there some "politics" involved?

Think For Yourself would of been a great addition to the concert, I really like that tune and the bass line is great, I love the sound the fuzz box gave it.

It was a good concert but like its been said seeing some Rickenbacker's being played would've been really nice.

Was that really George's 360 on the stand? I had heard that he sold it before he died.

According to the book "Beatles Gear" George's estate still owns his 360/12. He actually had two, according to the book and some pictures I have seen. The 63 model and a 66 model I think.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again
