What I did yesterday...

Post by Bighouse »

Had a bit of fun this weekend...Zone Music, the GREAT local music store, has their "Tone Summit" yesterday. http://www.zonemusic.com

About 30 vendors had booths set up and if you went around asking the right questions and having them initial your registration card, you were entered in a drawing...they were giving away $20,000 worth of gear...still awaiting the results of the drawing, they'll notify winners by email this week.

So, had the opportunity to try out two items that I've wanted to investigate. One was the Mesa Boogie 12" Walkabout Scout...at first I was unimpressed...it's TINY...but, upon plugging into it with the demo Yamaha bass (which I didn't particularly care for) I was IMMEDIATELY blown away by the volume and tone...what a great amp. I MUST have one. Need to bring my bass into Zone some day and give it a proper test though to see how well it feels with my 4001. Seems like it could be a perfect fit.

The other item I played with a bit was this:
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.

Since this video has absolutely no Rickenbacker related content, it's being moved to Forum 51. A shadow thread will remain here until later today.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

sounds like a fun day, robert! the mb walkabout/scout 12 is a great combo amp,i had one for several years, ironically i sold it because it was too big for my needs and got the markbass 1-12 combo, which i sold after a couple of years and now have a markbass micromark......i think i've gone as far as possible in the bass amp miniturization process.....
