WTB: your old '87 CD's
WTB: your old '87 CD's
Hey gang. While I think the whole remaster thing is great, I'd like to buy used copies of Rubber Soul and Help! on the cheap. I wouldn't need the cases, just the disc and slipsheet to load into my mp3 player. And I suspect there must be someone out there who doesn't want their '87's anymore. Thanks, J

Are you kidding? They now become the collectibles - Especially the originals from 1987 where the discs were pressed in West Germany.
Ka is a wheel.

I hadn't thought of that. I figured they'd end up in junk bins! And of course I don't really care if they're actually "87" CD's or not, I just meant the old, now obsolete version.

I'm hanging on to mine. They are good enough for me...don't think I will be re-buying those AGAIN.

Ditto. I have more copies of copies around this house already. No need in adding anymore to my already bloated collection.atomic_punk wrote:I'm hanging on to mine. They are good enough for me...don't think I will be re-buying those AGAIN.

I'll sell you all of mine, but I'd rather not part them out.

Jdog -- PM me and maybe we can work out a deal with a near mint "Help!" I have. My mom said that she gets dibs on "Rubber Soul", should I upgrade that one. I wouldn't sell "Help!" to anyone, but for you, definitely.

When it comes to Beatle recordings, I keep anything and everything for various purposes. It's a bit like 1964 and earlier silver coins. You don't really need them, but you keep them.
Actually, when it comes to the Beales, it's more like 1933 and earlier gold coins.

Can we have everything louder than everything else?
Re: WTB: your old '87 CD's
Well, I'm sending Jdog "Help!" because he's been a great friend and sold me my 360/12V64, which is one of my favorite guitars I've ever played.
There's also this girl who used to go to school with me. She is a HUGE Beatles fan, has no money for either box set, and never owned "With the Beatles", "Hard Day's Night" and "Beatles for Sale". I'm helping her out my giving her my '87 versions of those three albums. I have those three plus "Help!" in my computer in iTunes, so I'm a happy boy.

Good on ya mate, and thanks. Clearly, the message of The End from Abbey Road has not been lost on you. I wish we had more Jakes in the world!
