If you're a die-hard fan...

...and you haven't been able to get either box set, here's your chance to get them both.

If I wasn't collecting the individual stereo mixes (which, after doing some statistics, is actually cheaper than the stereo set), I'd be somewhat tempted.

All copies of The Beatles In Mono currently on eBay are WAY overpriced, due to its scarcity.

I'm a die-hard fan...I got mine on 9/9/09! 8) Those who missed the boat that day should wait a month or so until the backorders are filled and then get one at the reasonable price of < $240.

Similar predicament for the stereo box, although eBay prices aren't as ridiculous. And I guess slightly more expensive than buying the stereo discs individually due to the DVD?

P.S. I really wish there was a stereo box that was equivalent to the mono box in terms of packaging. Maybe in Japan?

Just be patient and wait till next year when they introduce the new "Collector's Special Edition Mono Box, with *added features* which will be available for a limited time only".

I suspect this is just the "Cabbage Patch" and "TIckle Me Elmo" marketing model translated into the record business.

I got my copy of "In Mono" just yesterday morning for 200 GBP in Edinburgh, Scotland at Fopp - they still had three at the time... I think it was reasonably priced compared to eBay. I'll be getting the stereo albums one by one over time...
