new future ex-wife

Post by jdogric12 »

So I saw her perform last week for the first time, which is odd, since I've known about her for years but for some unknown reason, I never went and heard her until now. Check her out, she's great! It's pretty safe to say Rebekah is the undisputed best female folk/acoustic artist in town.

Pretty good stuff.

I'm partial to this young lady. Saw her on the bill with Mitch Easter a few weeks ago. Great songs but, I loved the arrangements too.

Is that Ted Lucas on guitar? Nice tone!

Yep, that's him. Zen (studio) nails down some tasty sounds.

I've got to be honest and say that a lot of 'Back To Boogaloo' is a little too 'folky' for me but I agree with you on 'Zen', Jdog..... some really excellent stuff that moves along nicely.

Think I might download the album...... :D

I just realized.... I think the guy who did a lot of the playing and recording on this is Steve Connelly, of the Headlights, Roger McGuinn's backup band from a few years back. I could be wrong...... so don't quote me, but I think most of that is correct, if not all. I definitely hear Rickenbackers on BTB, that's what jogged my memory. I will try to confirm with a few sources and get back to you all.
