Another Wal......BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

Post by incubus2432 »

I just scored this Wal MK-III 5er from ebay for way less than I thought it would go for. Wal recently started accepting orders again so maybe that explains the lower price....who knows?!?! Whatever the reason I am happy with the deal and look forward to having a Wal again. I certainly did not buy it to "flip" but think I did good enough that reselling without taking a hit shouldn't be an issue. Even though we aren't actively selling our house we were approached by a couple who wants it so if that works out I may have a clearinghouse so the wife and I can move to the country. Some things are more important than my shenanigans but until then.....

Very nice fiver Brian, Wals have a good rep in that department. Speaking of fivers, I just engineered a deal that has an original Dargie Delight Bongo 5HS coming my way soon. They only made twelve 5 string Bongo DD's and only three in the HS pickup config (the one that sounds closest to a rick- w/rounds).

Thanks y'all......looking forward to having it in my grubby mitts mid next week!

Elyria? Nah, we're not looking for a trailer park next to Walmart. There are few nice horse properties in Ravenna and Lychfield that we are interested in but waiting for our potential buyers before serious looking. One place is on 9.5 acres with a 4 stall barn, riding arena, 2 car attached garage and 4 car detached along with an in-ground pool.......oh , and I guess it has a house too and it's actually cheaper than the city home that we live in now. Sounds perfect but we'll see what happens. We are in no rush but if somebody comes to us looking to buy, especially in this economy, then we really can't pass it up.

The plan is to hold on to it but........ (see above). I'll bring it to Mini-Ric-Ohio (or whatever you are calling it) in November.

There was a Dargie 5er Stingray on Talkbass a few days ago that I would have jumped at but it sold quick and I missed out. It's a pity since I've been looking for one and getting it would have saved me from the big $$$$$ that the Wal sucked from my wallet. I can't complain though. Post some pics of the Bongo when it lands at it's new home!

Ravenna is nice but quite a drive to your precinct. Especially in winter.
