George's Uke

Post by bottom4 »

I've recently re-found Brainwashed - great CD! I've even recently purchased a tenor uke - figured I'd give it a try - it arrives next week

Does anyone have any insight into George's Uke particularly the tenor uke he used on BW. Do you know if he used standard tuning GCEA? Any insight would be helpful.

thanks!

No idea, Andy. I have a Hawaiian Kamaka that I love. I heard he had over 300 uke's and often gave them away to people who showed interest. Your question might be tough to answer.

Kent - Thanks for the great vid's!

thanks, Kent! I know two vids quite well! Thanks Mike!

I think, at least for the DATDBS vid, his tenor uke is tuned to the common GCEA (island tuning)
