Todd: Would you kindly provide another clue? Songs that are too difficult, for whatever reason, lead to people giving up.

The band is Golden Smog. It is comprised of members of Soul Asylum, Honeydogs, Jayhawks and Wilco.

The Jayhawks is the only group out of the line-up I recognized. Man, I've been too long away from the Dark Side.
