Who Am I #80

Post by admin »

From Roy Clough

Who Am I #80

For full marks (5 points) who wrote it, who sings it, what is the song title and what chart topping artist recorded this tune and under what title.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Who wrote it? Jagger/Richards
Gene Pitney recorded it as "That Girl Belongs To Yesterday"
Is this Jagger (+ Stones?) doing a demo?

What did I miss out? Title? Officially, as far as I know, it's "That Girl Belongs To Yesterday". Whether they had a different working title when they wrote it, no idea (and I suspect no-one else has, now... :) )
Or have I got the singer wrong?

OK, well I find the lyrics on a website with the title "aka My Only Girl", which is maybe the point? Was it ever published under that title? I can't imagine that this version was even vaguely intended as an official release, with that buzzing bass (at least it does in my computer's speakers, horribly!!)
