Paul, that's a beautiful collection of Ric basses. :D
Is that a security camera in the corner keeping them under watchful eye ....

Those are Quik-Lok stands; I have a three instrument one, very highly recommended. :D

The millenium problem's some years ago, you know...
You mean, obviously, the Y2K problem, which involved the penultimate (1999) and ultimate (2000) years of the Second Millennium, not any year of the Third Millennium.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind comments.

Uh . . . security camera. Yeah! That's the ticket!

Much less romantic, but still a security instrument, it is an alarm that goes off if the septic tank gets dangerously full. (Eww!) Ah, the joys of living in the country!

As Jeff says, those are the QuickLoc racks. I have the three 5-stall racks, and likely will get a fourth.

Ohhh.....   I take it your music room is on the lower floor of the house. Maybe you want to mount those nice Bass-Racks on top of some pedestals about three or four foot high ... just to keep 'em above the high-water mark,  in case you're not home if/when the Septic alarm goes off !!!

Yeah, we discovered the hot-water heater had failed, we know not when. The carpet tiles in the model airplane room were all wet, but we figured that would happen someday, and that's why we got them. Got a new heater put in that afternoon, and we dried the tiles out for the next few days. The water never got to the music room as there is a cinder-block wall between the furnace/water-heater room and it. There is a floor drain underneath the wall-to-wall carpet in the music room, so it's unlikely we'll ever have knee-deep water in there. Ah, home ownership!
