More eye candy - Costa Mesa Guitar Show.
Sorry, Joey, we went down to Costa Mesa and met Dan and Collin - and, of course, saw a lot of goodies. Many more Rics at the show than in previous years. Even an Electro and a few slides!

very nice pics ...the jetglo 4001 for 1495.00 seems to have a toaster and 1/2" spacing but has and incorrect trc with no 4001 type at the nut and has kluson machines. should have grovers ? maybe that's why it was going for so little. i would have bought it.
Re: More eye candy - Costa Mesa Guitar Show.
i liked the danelectro/silvertone solid body bass next to the white 4001....
Re: More eye candy - Costa Mesa Guitar Show.
The truss rods had torqued the fretboard off at the top, so it needs that repair done.BAD RONBO, KiLLeR DWaRfS wrote:very nice pics ...the jetglo 4001 for 1495.00 seems to have a toaster and 1/2" spacing but has and incorrect trc with no 4001 type at the nut and has kluson machines. should have grovers ? maybe that's why it was going for so little. i would have bought it.

I almost walked past the 2x8 lapsteel, when my son pointed it out to me. He's a good kid.

No worries, Scott! Look like you must have had a good time. You did get my message?s4001 wrote:Sorry, Joey, we went down to Costa Mesa and met Dan and Collin - and, of course, saw a lot of goodies. Many more Rics at the show than in previous years. Even an Electro and a few slides!

Good eye on Spencer!
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: More eye candy - Costa Mesa Guitar Show.
Scott!
It was great to see you at the show. I hope you had a good time.
I ended up selling six guitars (cleared out a few of those pesky Fenders and Gibson's to make room for more Rics
), a bunch of records, and a lot of t-shirts, not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Back for round 2 tomorrow. Sunday is usually pretty slow at this thing, but now I have some cash

Yeah, had a good time today.
I thought there were actually less Rics than last year. I only counted 7-8 Rics (including Dan's and the one I brought)...and around the same for basses (plus some lap steels).
Nothing unusual this year, except a truly hodge-podged 340S from Jay Rosen with a "Rose Morris" tag thrown on it.

Dan and Scott--as always gents, nice to see ya there.

Collin,
It was good to see you as well.
A few Ric notes from the show. Jay Rosen still had the 340s at the end (asking $9500
). The Jetglo 1965 450-12 in the booth across from me sold. The Gear trader sold the Jetglo 360 they bought from me before the show opened, they still have the Azureglo one. The 3/4 size Electro was still there at the end too.
I didn't see any vintage 360 or 330's, 6 or 12's (except for Collins 336) all weekend, usually there are 3 or 4 around. I also didn't see any pre 1973 basses with FWI, checkered binding, and toasters. I guess no one wants to part with them anymore.
All in all I had a good time. I ended up selling 8 guitars and trading my repaired SG for a black Tele, so I came home with some cash, a new guitar, and a lot less "stuff" (records and t-shirts).
Fun
