My sweet Lord. I don't mind seeing Sony hit with a big bill if there's just cause ...but I don't hear the similarity here. I hope George Harrison's spirit visits the plaintiffs and scares some sense into them. Looks like a case of money-grubbing to me.

Just an attempt at a money grab IMO. The only real similarities are that they are both musical in content and both iconic Australian tunes............

The judgement infuriates me... it's going to get to the stage where some clown can claim royalties to "Twist and Shout" (and many other classics) based on the fact they bought the rights to an earlier song with the I-IV-V chord pattern.... The only way to make your song truly original is to do away with the entire concept of scales... edit: and hope nobody else has even thought about doing the same thing...
