Hello forum

Post by T.A.R. »

Hello all, This is amazing, I recognize names from the factory forum and I thank everyone for the help I have received. I have a '74 4001 that has just recently come back out of her case, it feels so good to play again.

some week ago I put my Rick 4001 from 1974 out of his (her ??) case (after more than 2 decades), and now I`m very confident and happy for that. My one and only baby !! It`s back again.

Thanks for the warm welcome and Hello Hanno!
Love your '74 Tom, very cool! The pup I believe is a Dimarzio DP120 the switches are coil taps. The Bass is as I bought her in '82. I still wonder why the mods on a young(at the time) instrument. Anyway what a site!

+1

I too add a hearty WELCOME!

IMHO, you can't ask for a better players neck than that on a 1974.

Yes she has red dots and the binding follows the contour of the frets. Very interesting about the neck, do they vary much?

Thanks Guys, there is some nice figure and I'll try to get a better shot. The bass is away tonight having the neck pickup looked at and while the tech is at her a new set of TI JF344s. I have a feeling there some oxidation messing things up, the mono jack has improved with use I'm hoping the pup is a switch cleaning issue.
