This is a 24 fret 370WB. WB= with binding, meaning binding on both sides of the body. The 360 WB would look the same except with 2 pickups. At times you will see these refered to as a 360 OS (Old Style).

OOH, yummy WB!! It's extra cool because it's a 3 pickup model/ Also because it's an `81, so it's X-braced inside and appears to have Klusons, so the smaller 12 headstock. ++ Someone ought to buy this. I can probably have a looksie if anyone out of the area's interested, since I'm local.

Caveat to the distingction between a 360 OS and 360 WB: While both are double bound and share the same body shape and other appointments, there are differnces:

360 OS models have:
Full-width inlays
21 frets
No soundhole binding

360 WB models have:
24 frets,
Smaller poured inlays
Most, though not all, have sound hole binding.

Too bad you live in Sweden Jimmy otherwise I might sell you my 360/12C63 but it would cost you $350 for me to ship it UPS or Fedex Air which is the only way I would ship guitars overseas in the past. My advice would be to wait to get the C63 as opposed to the V64 because you could buy the V64 and then a short time later wish you had got the C63 and then perhaps lose money reselling the V64 - unless you find a super deal on it to begin with. I've done that kind of thing before myself and later regretted it. Also - I imagine the "duties tax" would kill you in Sweden, right?

Peter - your Turquoise Ric looks very nice in the pic but I have a question: As I've mentioned on another post - I bought a Turquoise 330 Ric several years back
and although it was in like new condition - when I viewed the guitar for the first time in person - it appeared bright green with heavy metallic flake, not the turquoise I viewed on the net pic of the same guitar. Someone in the forum said the color could have changed over time, but I was wondering how yours looks in person compared to your photo here of the guitar? If it looks the same in person - I'll know I must have perhaps gotten a "green" one, years ago.

Yes, the "duties tax" would kill me in Sweden. It would be: guitarprice + shipping + 25% tax on that sum. Could still be cheaper than buying one here in Sweden.

25% duties tax in Sweden is certainly a lot, Jimmy! But as you say - it could still be cheaper than buying in Sweden. Keep mine in mind if you like....When I am able to post mine on the Ric classifieds - perhaps this Spring - we could chat about it again. The one thing to me that is most noticable about the new one vs. the older one is the Fireglo on the front. When you see George playing his in "A Hard Day's Night" - one can clearly see that the Fireglo extends a good bit higher the bottom face of the guitar than it does on the older V64's. The rest of the differences don't stand out as much. When I sell mine I will include for the lucky buyer the original VHS tape of "A Hard Day's Night" of course actually showing George do that wonderful solo on "I Should Have Known Better" - using that
legendary guitar.

I previously owned a Turquoise 360/12 V64 for only a short period of time because I was very disappointed with the actual color. In reality, the color is definitely more greenish than bluish. A photo of this color always appears "bluer" on most computer monitors. So beware when viewing images of Turquoise RICs for sale unless you like a more "greenish" guitar. Also, as an added observation, the metallic particles usually do not stand out when viewing computer images, unless the photos are close-ups or the images are captured with a very high definition digital camera. The metallic aspect of these turquoise RICs is readily apparent when viewing the actual instrument. Hope this helps.

Guess what? It's been one whole year since I first received my beloved 360/12V64. One of the best 12-strings I've ever played, it's still holding up nicely today. I love it and at this point, I don't think I would sell it (except if you had an original 60s 360/12, and it was a heck of a trade!).
