I was just thinking it's too bad that dressing sharply has gone so out of fashion. Something happened during the last 45 years. :(

Your right Jim. Super casual/extra sloppy or just down right strange, is the new way of looking "sharp".

"sharp" is a subjective term.

What's sharp to kids today shouldn't be what was sharp 40 years ago (and i'm an ex-mod saying this...). Times change, and people as a collective society determine together what is "in" or "out", sharp-or-not.

Same goes for language and culture and social behaviour.

pretty sad having to trade a 67 Lambretta Silver Special for an 80 Vespa P200 because it's your only mode of transportation and you need something that might actually START when you need to use it.

Nowadays you just trade it in for a CAR....it is cheaper, and you can fit more 'birds in the back. :)

Yup, no doubt.

Especially the buttons.....everyone knows you have to leave the bottom one undone. How else could you mount a Lambretta or pull off a dancefloor move? :)

The pleats are a no no wrt Mod fashion.

The only time the bottom button should be done is whilst playing on stage; otherwise the bottom end of one's jacket lapel ends up flopping over the front of one's guitar.

I prefer wearing a suit to work, preferably with Italian style pointy-toed shoes, but that's just me. People think I'm nuts because I like to wear a suit to work.
