UPDATE!! A little more info on Ted Mack 325 Capri

Post by 1OUfan »

I just received an e-mail from the Bop-Kats guitarist Jerry Shaw in reference to the Capri seen on the Ted Mack video.
Not a great deal more, but it is from the actual original owner of the guitar.
Bob

Hi, Bob and Sara, Been out of town and this is the first chance to get back to you. Saw your Rick Site, Great. Thanks for the compliments. Rich Mackey emailed you some info, I Purchased the Rick in 1959 at a local music store. I have the original payment book but no serial number. I believe it to be a 1958 Capri F Hole, Fire glow with four controls. I loved that guitar but the bolt that held the Kaufman kept on breaking with the unit and strings flying all over. This was embarrassing when on stage. Also very hard to keep in tune. You will notice that the last chord I struck on the Ted Mack show the Rick was out of tune. I was young and stupid for letting the rare Rick slip out of my hands. Sorry I can't give you anymore information. It is going to be my mission now to try and locate this Rick and when I get any information I will forward it to you. Love the Rick site.......Jerry & the Bop-Kats.

The 325C58 should've had the BopKat options available. Best looking 325 ever. Amberglo with 'f' hole. Wow.
