String Type And Tension

Post by admin »

Ruben: I am wondering if you have any tips with regard to the type of string and the tension used by most flamenco guitarists. I do appreciate that the construction of the instrument and individual preference will be important factors but I am interested in your opinion.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Dear Maestro Peter:

This is a great set of 6,5,4th for flamenco
6th Savarez 500 Corum Series 500AJ Corum Alliance - (Corum basses click on Single Strings for the 500AJ Corum Alliance set then you can order as many as you like.

5th Savarez 520 Traditional Series 520R Red Card - high tension

4th Luthier Concert Dark Silver 35 Medium-High Tension -

and for the trebles there are many options
highly recomended this:
2th D'Addario T2 Titanium Trebles T2 Titanium Treble - Extra Hard Tension T4402

1st D'Addario Pro Arte J4301 - 1st string (e) light tension .0275

Thanks
