Hello, all - Newcomer here

Post by mr_gravy »

Just signed on, and just got me a Ric. Thought I'd introduce myself. Nice site here. I've been wanting a Rickenbacker since the 60s and after going through many gits I've finally made the move. Found a very nice '92 330 Mapleglo with black hardware and original square Tolex case. Even includes manual. It has been played but well cared for. Hope to learn much here in the future and who knows, I may end up getting another one!

Welcome aboard, John!

Be sure to read this article so you'll know what's to come in the ensuing years:

Welcome John,
And if you're like most of here, you'll end up getting many. You can also learn a whole lot here, check out the archives, very good stuff in the Vibrola threads, lots of tips.

Thanks for the welcome. Will definitely check out the archives. I've been collecting Telecasters for quite a while and whittled my collection down to 3, a few went toward the Ric and I haven't a single regret. Always nice to travel down new roads, especially when it comes to music.

Nice name, John!
Are you a Sous Chef?
Just wondering, since I did take a cooking class back in high school.

No, can barely cook water. Years ago before the advent of the net I was on a bulletin board as B. F. Gravy (Get it? Beef Gravy?) Anyway I haven't used the name in a while because I've been using Oskar. But that was taken so I went back to being Mr. Gravy.
Checked out article on addiction. I guess if one has to have a vice Rics are not a bad one to take on.
