I've just noticed these finish cracks on my 660/12 close to the binding, I went cold when I saw them as I have just purchased the guitar and it was quite expensive (for me). Do these things normally get worse over time or will it stay as it is? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Yoiks!
The CB looks lower than the finish. Paul W should be able to offer great insight.

The binding in the affected area is lower in height than the body but level everywhere else. You can really feel the step when you rub a finger over the binding and body. I take it it's shoddy workmanship at the Ric factory? I really didn't expect to have any problems in that regard. I really don't know what to do, I've been offered a full refund by the seller but I really love the guitar.

Play it and don't worry so much.
It is the first of many battle scars!!

If it really bothers you, then get a refund!! If it bothers you a lot, but you want to keep the guitar, try negotiating a lesser price to partially cover a repair.
I agree with Billy, if you love the guitar, just play it and you will ding it up over time. I mean, you could spend some serious cash repairing this small area, and it would be hard to make it totally seamless... but then what? I'd be afraid to gig with it at that point!

Great Ramp In My Opinion.
