D'Addario Players Points

Post by cassius987 »

I'm kind of ticked off... over the last three years I've garnered 65 D'Addario "Player's Points" and would really like to redeem them on one of their mugs, maybe a lanyard for my work ID card. Etc. But the only way to redeem them is to mail in this dopey-looking, primitive form including credit card information to pay for the shipping back to you--and in addition to that the shipping charges are a bit steep. D'Addario's web site says you can only pay them via credit card number by way of mail only, no telephone orders etc. Does anyone know a way around this? I think it's ridiculous.

I have been wanting to save for one of the stools (if they still offer them) but don't think I will have enough points if I save the rest of my life.

I'm practically ready to give these away if I can't come up with a better way to redeem them. Mailing your CC info is so stupid.

It's like 1977 all over again.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?

We should put all our points together and order one of their shirts, then Sharpie over the logo the words "RRF SHIRT", then ship it from person to person for gigs and make people take pictures of it... I mean I've got nothing better to do with these points if I'm not comfortable ordering a coffee mug because the shipping costs as much as a mug from Target and I'm putting my CC info out there just so my cup of joe will say "XL" on it.

I have many player points saved up also. I don't know why I save them. I feel the same as Joshua about sending the info through the mail.
I'd also love to have one of those D'Addario stools. I wonder if they'd just sell me one if they are still available. I see them in music stores all the time, not for sale though.

I actually have one of their bar stools I won as a door prize at my local mom and pop music store.

Not much to get excited about, if you had the D'Addario decal, you could make one for about 10 bucks in materials, maybe less.
