These listening tests are always an interesting reminder that a lot of details we think are vitally important, become less so when recorded. (Sort of like the endless maple-versus-rosewood fretboard debates in the Fender world. :lol: )

Would it be correct to say that 4005's generally have a little less punch due to the acoustic construction? I don't mean that in a perjorative sense, but it seems like the attack is more pronounced with the solidbody ones.

It is isn't it. I'm glad I had the opportunity to borrow ChrisP's 4005 otherwise I would have been dissapointed when I bought one.
