Aguilar AG 4-J pickups

Post by mikko »

I´m very interested in these J-Bass replacement pickups http://www.aguilaramp.com/products_pickups_AG4J.htm
I think they could be nice upgrade to my old Aria J-bass. But before I spend €150 on them, I´d like to hear if anybody have tried them. Do they sound as good as advertised?

I know some of you have Fender Jazz basses. Can somebody give me measures (lenght, width, string spacing) of genuine Fender Jazz pickups? My old Aria J-bass has slightly different looking pickups and I´d like to check how big job it would be to modify it for pickups designed for Fender.

Some J-basses have two pickups that are identical in size while others have pickups that are slightly different in size. I believe that the latter is much more common. Try googling jazz bass pickup dimensions.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?
