I then said that I didn't want the warranty. I was told tha because Markbass is an Italian made amp they could only be sold through GC with the warranty as Markbass cannot afford to have amps sent back to Italy for repairs. So for example, if you see the price of $899 on a Markbass amp, it includes the warranty.
Marc, Your experience is the same thing that started me on this exercise. If you buy on-line (Musician's Friend, GC, etc.) the prices do not include the extended warranty on MB products. I assume you are prompted to select the extended warranty at checkout. It was the sales person in the GC store who used the "no warranty" ploy to sell me an EW. Since then, I got an e-mail quote from GC on a MB Little Mark III 500W and it had the same price as advertised on line plus the EW price. This was the response I got on a technical question on a completely different MB amp(TA501).............but that's another story.

Since then, I have contacted Markbass Marketing requesting where I might find their warranty information (don't see it on the Markbass website). I'll let you know when/if I get a response.

yeah, I never thought bout the online aspect, as it's not too difficult to return to GC, but to ship, another story.

the send back to Italy situation, while it makes sense, I'd still probably gamble and save the warranty money if I could

You won't see it on their website as that comes from Italy, so there would be no warranty info that pertains to other countries; when I got my Markbass gear (all three) they came with a written GC warranty statement.
