Buying a new 360/6 JG soon?

Post by beatbyrd »

Hi,
Musicians Friend allegedly has a Labor Day sale until 9/7/10 - 15% off orders > $700. That would mean that a 360/6 (JetGlo only) that was normally priced at around $1600 would be around $1360, which is fairly decent for a new Rick, no? And this would probably be a pristine guitar that hadn't been outside of its case since leaving the factory. Don't know how many they have in stock. Tom
It's a Byrd, it's a playin'..........

MF had a special "secret" sale on 360 and 330 models about a year ago -- 330 = $999, 360 = $1299 shipped. There was quite a bit of interest.

Although the guitars were new, some folks reported that they got guitars that were over a year old (in terms of production date).

Keep in mind that on Ricks the finish warranty is one year the from production date, not the sale date.

Hi, I'm all set in terms of Ricks for a while. I was hopefully trying to get a lurker or newbie to take the plunge and save some money in the process (versus brick & mortar prices). This price is shipped, no tax, I believe and not all that different from your last year 360 price. I have a strong enough belief in the RIC Quality Control group to not be too worried about finish problems, but that's just me. Most decent sellers have fair return policies anyway. I was actually hoping that MF would repeat the "20% off orders > $1000" sale that they had last Labor Day. Nope, too bad. Anyway, I'm just trying to help folks save some hard earned cash. Tom
