Son of Fang

Post by IHeartRics »

Thought I'd share this. Its a guitar I made out of spare parts. It's a fake Vox Phantom body, an All Parts Mustang neck, a DiMarzio HB pickup that I have wired with a 3-way micro toggle switch (HB Series/Single Coil/HB Parallel), and the pickguard is made of that bumpy plastic shower wall material you see in gas station public restrooms (in the right light it looks like sparkle). It plays very well and sounds cool.

I bought a beat-up '60's Vox case, gutted and repaired it, then re-lined it in snow leopard to stay with the "Son of Fang" theme.

Cool! Is that bumpy material translucent or opaque?

Thanks jdog. It's opaque, and like the restroom walls, easy to clean with a little 409!

Awesome! As a "relic" I could upcharge for it if I ever sell it!
But actaully, that's a pretty cool idea. I'm now thinking of all the hilarious sayings written above the urinals I could put on there. I could do it with clear labels and change them periodically when I want! 8)

Careful that your axe doesn't end up looking like this:

Or maybe that would be a good thing!
Can we have everything louder than everything else?

The wall, yes. The toilet and the paper, no! No enough Purel in the world to make it playable!
