I was looking at an issue of Vintage Guitar magazine last night, from a few months back, and they always have CD releases and reviews, etc. A short VG write-up caught my eye. They mentioned Apple Jam recording Lennon & McCartney songs, in the style, as if the Beatles had done them, but these songs were actually songs that L&Mc wrote and gave away to other artists. So these tunes were never released by the Beatles. Some of them I've never heard of.
The CD is called "Off the Beatle Track" It is available from CD Baby and you can listen to the tracks.

Views, opinions ? Authentic concept or just more wanna-be's ? What do you think ??

Re: Apple Jam's Unreleased Beatles Versions
I like it! They didn't play the songs exactly like the Beatles did but I thought it sounded great! I might have to pick that up, thanks.
Re: Apple Jam's Unreleased Beatles Versions
A similar effort by The Beatnix sounded close to The Beatles sound. Not readily available currently.

Re: Apple Jam's Unreleased Beatles Versions
Is it just me or is the mix on those recordings way off..... the vocals too loud and the instrumentation too soft.
Speaking of You Know What To Do,,,, here's a great version
and a not so great version
