I'm not really sure of the logic here. It looks like they just announced that they were out of life boats on the Titanic.

Embarrassing. Will they be selling these in Target, or Sears?

Edit: it's freaking $1,165 for that thing!

I prefer the Squier "Hello Kitty" stratocaster - way more cred for way less cash....

All in all, it's a unique new Gibson USA model with a broad appeal, and a no—nonsense attitude, primed for rock, pop, blues or the music of your desires.
Um... wow. Primed for blues, indeed.

Jeez, could they have missed their mark by more than they have with this? This model should have been an unlimted run of Epiphones at a price point aimed at beginning guitar players who like the Jonas Brothers. They would have sold a pile of them. Duh.

Very, very funny, Sir!
But..... just to play devil's advocate here. If these guys turn out to have some staying power (doubtful), these guitars could become collector's items down the road. You have to figure that at least half the run of 300 will go to l'il Johnnie or Suzie and get trashed very quickly.
Musically, I remember similar comments made about the Monkees in their day. Heck, my buddies and I constantly mocked both the Monkees and their fans back then. Only a total loser would buy and play a Monkees Gretsch! Flash forward a few decades and people have great memories about the Monkees, their fantastic music, and the Gretsch is sought after. But, having said all that, there's no way I'd consider buying one of these to play. I think the Taylor Swift model Taylor is a better long term investment, anyway. Tom

I don't care who you are-that there's FUNNY!

Never thought I'd be embarassed to tell folks my first electric was a Melody Maker. Hmmm, $1165.00. That's about what I have in my MB 620. Wow, did I get a deal!

At least they could have thrown dirty fingers pickups and a solid finish on it, sheesh!
But hey, that elusive Jonas Brothers tone you have been trying to cop is now just a mere 1165 away
Apparantly no shortage of crack in Nashville.

Bewdy!!

By the time one or two arrive here they'll be incredibly affordable at around AUD$3000!

Did the marketing guys at Gibson get past crayons at kindergarten?

Seems not..............

I'm with you, Ben. Gibson should release more rubbish like this so we can all get a kick out of the comments..... some pure gold!!

Well, take away the teeny-bopper hype and give it a decent finish and I'd play it. Features aren't bad.
