4002 on UK ebay
Just spotted this. I don't know enough about the 4002 to tell if there's anything amiss (Are those machine heads correct? I guess they must be, as there are no other holes visible), but it looks lovely enough, checker binding an' all!
Starting bid is £2k. Heaven only knows what the reserve is...

Sure is a great looking bass. Hope it sees a good home!

Looks all original at a glance, even tuners.

One just sold on ebay about a month ago for $5,000.00 I think the person was located in Canada. As I recall there was just the one bid, which was the minimum amount. I believe the buy-it-now was $7,500.00
It would be cool if Ric reissued these!!
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!
Re: 4002 on UK ebay
Well, my life is ruined. That is the most beautifully, artfully figured 4002 I have ever seen.....
Re: 4002 on UK ebay
This 4002 belonged to my sadly departed friend Dave Carr.
His widow Julie is the seller.
I can vouch that this 4002 is a peach.
I just hope Julie gets the best price possible and that it goes to a good home.

The last one went for $5,000.00. It'll be interesting to see how much this goes for. It's(the 4002 model) the 3rd one I've seen on ebay in the past 6 months.

I think I'm going to bid on it and figure out how to get it later. I have plenty of people in the UK who can help me. I've wanted one of these for a long time......

And if you get tired of it in a few years, I just might have enough saved up to take it off your hands...

Re: 4002 on UK ebay
The final price surprised me too. Given the sad nature of the reason for the sale it's probably not as much as everyone expected or hoped for; but I CAN guarantee it's going to a Forumites home

Can we have a bit more talent in the monitors please.....?
