Stiff Records also had a great teanage singer named Rachel Sweet. Gave Wanda Jackson a run for her money.

I saw Rachel Sweet (and Eric) at Salford Uni on the second Stiff tour (1978). Only briefly,
as she wasn't well. Her 'backing band' - THE RECORDS - one of the finest power pop bands
ever made, played a full set of their own stuff.

I remember their bassist Phil Brown had a white 4001. Marvelous stuff.

I've got the old EP with that cover, beautiful brown vinyl.

I saw him play at the Birchmere in Virginia several years ago, he did not play a Rickenbacker. He was very approachable after the show and I talked with him for awhile; nice guy.

The Ric had an accident and wasn't repaired for some years.
It's a bit away from playable, now, apparently.

I still have the LP on 10" brown vinyl! He's just produced an album for a Swiss/French band I'm acquainted with called Gil Rose and the Hydropathes.
