Apparently Tom found a fellow who sounds just like him. It's hard for Tom to replace him 100% though. Especially when you consider that Brad was Tom's best friend.

Growing up I absolutely worshiped the first two Boston albums. T.S. and his songwriting, with Delp and that magical voice was hard to beat, at least for me.
I grew very tired of Tom Sholz's love for the courtroom instead of the studio. By the late 70s and early 80s, Buck, Edge, Marr, Dave Vanian, any Ramone, Chris Stein, all these guys showed me a new path...no front man could really touch the Delp voice, but I still loved my new direction.

"Hitch a Ride", the sleeper from the first LP and "Man I'll never be" from the second, two of my favorites.

'Hitch a Ride' is one of the best songs on that first album. Boston's sound was a big influence on me in my rock band days in the seventies - loved the combination of acoustic and electric guitars along with the B3 organ sound - but Delp's voice was what really differentiate their sound. We covered one of their songs (Foreplay/Longtime) - still one of my favorites, too.

"Mr. Brad Delp. Je suis une âme solitaire" - so sad...
