Post by guitman »

Here's the Flamin' Groovies live in San Francisco, 1979...

Cover of the Beatles' Please Please Me with 2 Ric 12s and a Gretsch 12! http://soundcloud.com/guitar-willie/ple ... the-flamin

Two Groovies originals, I Can't Hide & Shake Some Action. Cyril, Dan Armstrong Plexi; Chris, Gretsch double cut 6120; me, Ric 360 with Bigsby. http://soundcloud.com/guitar-willie/i-c ... ome-action That's me you hear going into dropped D tuning before I Can't Hide and back to standard before Shake Some Action. We were one of the last bands that tuned by ear on stage.

BTW, this topic ought to get moved to the Artists forum. This section is meant for stuff coming up. I'll ask Brian to move it if you don't mind. :)

Thanks for this! "Shake Some Action" is one of my favorite "drive around in the summer with the windows down" songs of all time!
